Leisure Complex
The Waterfront Centre provides a vibrant playground for visitors and Islanders to spend their leisure time.
The centre together with its gardens and promenades provide a great day out and a chance to while the night away in facilites purpose built for entertainment.
The first major privately funded development of its kind in Jersey commenced in 2000 to be called The Waterfront. This was a public/private sector partnership that was unique in Jersey. The contractor for the project was Cameron and McAlpine together with many local and UK sub-contractors.
The commercial leisure opened in December 2002 and the water park opened in the summer of 2003. This consists of a modern, purpose-built centre, comprising a water park and commercial leisure. The water park has both leisure and competition pools, including a wave pool, jacuzzi, an outdoor lazy river and flumes which is run by Serco (Jersey) Limited.
The cinema is an important part of this commercial leisure development. It is an ultra modern ten-screen multiplex run by Cine UK. The supporting night club, pub and themed café is run by Luminar Leisure.
Fitness First, one of Britain’s largest health and fitness operators, operate the Health and Fitness Centre.
The fast food outlets are operated by Pizza Hut and KFC.
