Waterfront Hotel

The site for the Waterfront Hotel was offered to the market at the end of 1996.  From a list of a dozen interested parties the Board selected four to move forward to the second and final stage of selection.

The Waterfront Hotel was without doubt WEB’s most controversial project.  WEB received a clear brief from the States to market the site for a four/five star international hotel and marketing was completed in 1997.

The Planning and Environment Committee approved the design and negotiations on the lease of the ground were completed and agreed by the States.  The same year the original operator was confirmed as Marriott International.

The Radisson Hotel opened in November 2007.  It provides 195 four star rooms together with restaurants, leisure facilities and a conference centre capable of housing 250 delegates.
