Who we are
Jersey has been reclaiming land from the sea for hundreds of years. At one time the sea came up to the walls of the Town Church. The new North Quay area and the Island Site were all built on reclaimed land.
Waterfront Enterprise Board Limited was set up as a development agency of the States of Jersey and was given full responsibility for the co-ordination and promotion of development in the St. Helier waterfront area.
The Waterfront Enterprise Board Limited is wholly owned by the States of Jersey. The company was incorporated on 21st February 1996 with 1 million shares of £1 each. On 18th March 1997, the Company’s authorised share capital was increased to £20 million.
